GENERAL INFORMATIONS
Which country do most of the guests come from?
The camp is international, our guests come from allover the world, anyway a great part are from Spain.
What time does the sun rise and set?
In November the sun sets at 18.30 and then according to the calendar until summer when it sets at 21:30.
Are you open during the whole year?
Yes , we are.
Which activities do you offer?
We offer surf, windsurf, kitesurf, diving and trekking courses. We are also specialized in summer camps.
What should i bring?
More than your personal estates we suggest:
•Suntan lotion
•Total protection for your face(you can use "zinc cream" for sensitive parts like nose, lips and eyelids)
• Sunglasses and cap
• Beach towel
• ear plugs
• sea pants to put under your wetsuit
We recommend to bring some heavy wear due to the thermic excursion of Lanzarote, especially from November to Half September
Is there a minimum age to participate?
No, but if you are under 18 a signed authorization will be required.
SURF COURSES
Is there a minimum of participating persons?
There is no minimum but a maximum of 8 person for every surf instructor and 4 for every Kite instructor.
Which days do the course start and end?
Usually the courses take place from Monday to Friday but we can assure also lessons during the week end.
How long are the lessons?
Lessons are about 5 hours long, but considering the time for theory, the hours in the water are 3 and a half. Theory is really important especially in teaching fundamental rules of security for beginners. We do stretching lessons before entering the water and a break of about 45min, around 12.30 for lunch.
Do you provide private lessons?
Yes, according to instructor availability. We usually dedicate the week end to private lessons.
Is it necessary to arrive and leave on sundays?
No, you can arrive and leave the day you prefer.
Can 8 years old kids start practicing surf?
Yes, that's the best age to start practicing surf, they could start with private lessons even if they would be more motivated by learning with other kids. We provide all sizes wetsuits and "softboards" for beginners
Are there Kite lessons everyday?
Yes, there are, including weekends. Even if usually the courses are from Monday to friday.
SURF
Where is the nearest spot?
“Famara”, “el Muelle”, “el Barco Hundido” 2 min. away and “playa de San Juan” 10 min away.
How far is it the camp from “La Santa”?
8 km of non busy streets.
Which level is required for surfing in Lanzarote?
Due to the number of spots you'll find waves suited for every level
How many degrees is the water?
Cold in January and February, about 18ºC (wetsuit 3/2 suggested). In august it reach 22ºC,23 up to 24ºC in September.
Are there rock seabeds?
Yes, Due to the volcanic nature of the island, only in Famara Beach you can surf without worries of crashing against any rock; "garita" and "de orzola" beaches, both sandy are surrounded by rocks you could be pushed to in case of big waves.
Is Lanzarote good for surfing?
Lanzarote is considered the european Hawaii. Its waves are well know, in particular from September to February, while for beginners the conditions are great during the whole year, first of all in Famara, where you'll always find a minimum wave to ride.
Which is the best period for surfing?
Best seasons are autumn and winter.
BOOKINGS
How many days before is suggested to book?
In July and August we suggest to book as soon as possible, during the rest of the year 15 days before will be good.
Is it possible to change the dates after booking?
Yes, it's not a problem according to availability.
When does the invoicing take place?
Better at checkin-in. You can also pay before Starting Calima Surf Camp.
Is there any discount?
Yes but for 5 persons groups .We also apply discount for our usual guests.
When will the 25% advance be paid?
As soon as you will confirm the services you'd like to buy the amount will be communicated. Payments by Paypal, Credit Card or bank invoice.
Is it possible to tell by telephone one's card details?
No, we only accept reserved payments by Paypal, Credit card or invoice.
SURF EQUIPMENT
Can we rent the equipment?
Yes, with the following conditions:
1- Passport or ID.
2- rental from 9:00 to 18:00.
3- Equipment must be returned at 18:00h
Is it possible to use the equipment after lesson time?
Equipment is included but if you want to use it after class time please let the reception know.
Can i rent just the equipment?
Yes, we have boards for beginners, Bic and NSP boards of every size, longboards, minimalibu rtc. We have beside wetsuits of all sizes.

Where is the nearest ATM?
About 15 km away in Teguise or in San Bartolomé, we recommend therefore a withdraw by arriving at the airport.

Where's the nearest restaurant?
2 Minutes away from our camp and accommodations.
Is a car required?
No, but is recommended to enjoy the beauties of the island by night.
Are there surf shops?
There are 3 shops in the same town.

In our reception you can connect yourself for free.
