BEGINNERS & INTERMIDIATE

LEVEL 1 - BEGINNERS

Here everybody is a beginner, ready to learn how to catch waves and surf! No place to be ashamed…You’ll share with everybody your progress surfing in a truly friendly environment.

Our surf instructors guarantee that upon completion of the surf course you’ll be surfing. You’ll learn all the safety measures necessary to the practice safely this wonderful sport, the sea cycle, tides, currents, rips, weather, bottoms, etc., all the requisites for your near future free surf...All this in maximum safety.

LEVEL 2 - INTERMEDIATE

If you already did a level 1 surf course, you surf but not regularly and want to improve your skills or simply want to surf in a very good and safe atmosphere without having to carry your own material… this is the level for you...

Our surf instructors will evaluate your skills and supervise your training, advising or correcting whatever is necessary to improve your surf. You’ll rapidly improve and develop your surf learning new tricks…

All this in maximum safety. Our instructors are beach lifeguards.

In this level we'll help you perfect your style, help you with all the "bad habits" aquired throught out your free surfing days. You'll learn how to duck dive correctly, manouver correctly, the bottom turn, cut back... nad a lot more. This courses take place at the same beaches and shedule as level one courses.

SURFCAMP LEVEL 3 - SURFARIS (Intermediate/Advanced)

Don’t waste time searching for good waves. With us you will surf the best waves for the day no matter where they are located in the island. Bring your own material.

The Surfaris are for advanced experienced surfers… If you think you are ready to surf the best spots including shallow reef breaks… this is the level for you…

You’ll be guided by the knowledge acquired by our team for the past 20 years surfing all around the world. Our expert guides will take you to the best waves of the day… no mater where they are. They will tell you all about the spots: how to get in and out, the currents, type of wave, etc.

They’ll join you surfing and help you to choose the waves appropriate for you to improve your skills. You’ll learn how to “behave” in the water, respecting the locals, knowing the priority rule and learning how to avoid conflicts which undoubtedly will be useful in future surf trips anywhere in the world.

TRANSPORTATION

Transfer service from/to “Ilheus” airport to “Itacare” (70 km aprox.) and surfaris. Being a level 2 guest you will get the same service. The only difference is that you’ll be escorted by the best local surf guides to the best waves for that day, be it beach breaks, reef points or crystal clear tubes spots.

ACCOMMODATION

At the “Itacare Surf House”, double rooms with private bathroom. The surf house is located only 400 meters from one of the most famous beaches in Brazil, “Tiririca” beach. The atmosphere is one of surf and safety. You can enjoy your afternoons after surf sessions in a patio with tropical trees and a nice shade… all this listening to good music, watching the latest surf videos and breathing the surf atmosphere originated by the house decoration ... and guests. The Surf House is just a few meters away from all the bars, supermarkets, cyber cafes and shops.

GUÍA LOCAL

“Itacare” is a safe place with a very low crime rate. But it is never too much to offer some extra security. We provide our guests with a local guide so you go to the right places, buy at the best prices and have the most fun.

When surf is not good you can adventure yourself through the jungle in the company and safety of our local guide.

SURF CLASSES

No matter how difficult an image you might have of Surf, we guarantee, thanks to warm waters, our excellent material and the effort of our instructors that you will learn how to ride waves. To make it possible our mission is first of all to help you understand the sea and its cycle, the right positioning, distances and timings to handle your board. After you’ll learn how to stand on your board and do a “take-off.

After learning the distance and timing necessary to catch a wave and do the “take off”, starts one of the most tedious steps for any surfer: learn how to manoeuvre. Our program for advanced surfers (level 2) focus on perfecting your “bottom turn” since this is the base of any l manoeuver such as “floaters”, “cutback”, “re-entry” and the desired “tubes”.

Surf lessons consist of 20 hours both in theory and practice, given by experimented surfers (each instructor has over 10 years experience). The classes include top material and a certificate (level 1 or 2). (surf school)
