The Maspalomas surf school in Gran Canaria has its base in the southern part of the island, between “Play de Ingles” and “El faro de Maspalomas”. Pick up of clients from any hotel, apartment or bungalow located in the “San Agustin”, “Playa del Ingles”, “Maspalomas” or “Meloneras” areas is between 9:00 and 9:30 AM.

The surf school in Maspalomas is a mobile surf school, generally classes are at the southern part of the Isle, “Playa del Ingles”, “San Agustín” or at “El Faro de Maspalomas”, although they also do surfaris around the island: At “La play del hombre”, the famous beach of "Cicer" or on the beautiful shore of "Bañaderos". All to find the best waves of the day and spend a great day surfing in “Gran Canaria”

All Instructors are professional lifeguards, you'll feel totally safe with them … They will help you through your first steps in this fascinating sport or, to perfect your surf depending on your level. English, German, Italian and Spanish are spoken

We also organize (all year around) accommodation in private bungalows in the Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles areas

10.00 - 10:30 Theory, safety and practice on sand.
10.30 - 11.00 Warm-up and stretching, simple exercises, theory on the beach.
11.00 - 13.00 In the water!! Surfing under the personal supervision of instructors with error correction.
13.00 - 13.30 Lunch time!! Snack on the beach, relaxing on the sand and enjoying the hot sun of “Gran Canaria”.
13.30 - 15.00 Free surfing under the supervision of instructors.

If you've done a level 1 course, or you're a free surfer but unfortunatly you don't do it that regularly... With this course you will perfect your style and correct the “bad habits” aquired over time. You will learn how to “duck dive” correctly so you can easily get to the outside, to manoeuvres correctly, “bottom turns”, “cut-back” and much more… The course takes place at the same beaches/shedule as the beginner’s course. Surfaris

We recommend SURFARIS in Gran Canaria from October to April not only for advanced surfers but also Intermediate surfers that wish to try for the first time one week of surfaris on diferent sandy beaches or even reef. There are plenty of reef spots in deep water that are not that dangerous to an intermediate surfer.

The surfaris are organized by the the local team that runs the Gran Canaria North camp. The guides are very good local surfers. They don't speak perfect English but know exactly what to do so you go back home safe and with a big smile in your face... 100% Surf

Surfaris are from 10:00 till 16:30. If you wish you can even start surfing on arrival day. When surf's up you'll get back home only at sunset. From Monday to Friday you'll surf the best waves for the day from the coast of Bañadero to Faro de Maspalomas. Plenty of beautifull waves most of then beach breaks with easy acess and not very diffcult, perfect to help you improve your surf. >>>

At our school you can rent surf equipment from SWELL for begginners, Long boards, Minimalibus, Short boards of all sizes and Wetsuits of all sizes:

Begginners board - 70€ per week
Board+wetsuit - 100€ per week

You can also get a direct contact with the famous surf shop 3RJ in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where you can buy brand new or 2nd hand boards aswell has getting your custom board shaped by the famour australian shaper Psilasky. If you wish you can also order trough us (5 weeks in advance) your own custom board.
